Epsom Derby winner Silvio was heavily supported to land a second Classic and was held at the rear as Manoeuvre cut out the early running. It was not until crossing the road that he gave up the lead to Sheldrake who maintained a lead until half a mile from home. Fred Archer shot Silvio clear fully 3 furlongs from home, followed by the rejuvenated Manoeuvre and Lady Golightly. Silvio was never threatened, winning y an easy 3 lengths in 3 minutes 27 seconds, while Lady Golightly got the better of Manoeuvre by a head. | Over Round 104% |
